Ákos Kovács (Budapest, April 6, 1968 –) Hungarian songwriter, composer, poet, singer-performer under the name Ákos, winner of the Kossuth Prize. One of the defining performers of Hungarian musical life. The singer, lyricist, composer of the former band Bonanza Banzai, and then a popular and prolific performer as a soloist from the nineties to the present day. He works in his own studio, his own record label takes care of his albums. In addition to singing, Ákos also plays acoustic and electric guitar, bass guitar, synthesizer and drums. In addition to his solo concerts, he is a featured performer at many domestic festivals. He speaks two foreign languages, English and Italian. Married, his wife is Krisztina Őry. Father of four children: Márton (1998), Anna (2002), Kata (2005) and Júlia (2010).
