This year, 37 beaches from 34 settlements in the region joined Mozdulj Balaton! for a series of leisure sports programs
The participating beaches offer free sports programs every Saturday afternoon from July 7 to August 18 and on two other days of your choice. Outside of events, anyone can freely use the developed tracks and the sports equipment installed on the beaches every day of the week. The series of programs now traditionally ends with the Vonyarcvashegy sports meeting on the last Saturday of August, where the teams of the beaches compete.According to the main organizer, more than 20,000 people register for organized programs a year, but many more people use beach sports equipment during the summer.
Move Balaton! Sustainability and the replacement and development of beach sports equipment are provided every year from subsidies. This year, the EMMI Sport State Secretariat contributed 6 million forints, the Balaton Development Council 5 million and the accession beaches by 3.7 million HUF. Among other things, three new beaches can be added to Teqball and eight vandal-proof outdoor pingers. The municipalities, along with their own purchases, are waiting for those who want to move on nine Balaton beaches this year, and in about 30 places ping jerseys.
The main organizer said they had traveled through the Balaton beaches in recent weeks and found that the operators had been sufficiently protected by the operators and placed the sports equipment everywhere and prepared for the high season. Local program organizers are still preparing.
Summarizing the experiences of previous years, János Bartsch said that three-quarters of the organized programs are between the ages of 6-25, and the proportion of men is twice as much as women. The popularity list of sports is the 6-man version of beach volleyball and beach football. These are followed by water games, 3 -person beach soccer, water polo, table tennis, handball, and streetball, followed by the order of badminton, foot tennis and petanque.
