The Balaton Uplands National Park is being built next to the Mura
The Balaton Uplands National Park Directorate (BFNPI) is building a majority on the border of Letenye, along the Mura, with a HUF 470 million EU subsidy, the national park informed MTI on Friday.
According to the announcement, the construction of the livestock farm on the border of Letenye has started from the tender won for the development of a complex habitat and a farming center along the Mura. The contractor of the investment is Dél-Konstrukt Építőipari Zrt.
As part of the tender, the shrubby, overgrown grasslands along the Mura, managed by the BFNPI, will also be restored so that they can restart the

On about 150 hectares, alien tree species are removed from the floodplain forests, replaced by native plants, and on 75 hectares, wooded pastures are restored to create livestock conditions. About the Balaton Uplands National Park.
The basins of the Balaton Uplands, the South Bakony, the Tapolca Basin, the Keszthely Plateau and the south-western Kis-Balaton belong to the Balaton Uplands National Park, which was established in 1997, mainly in six landscape protection districts (Badacsony, Káli Basin, Keszthely, Kis-Balaton, Pécsely Basin and the Tihany Peninsula Landscape Protection Area). The mosaic Balaton Uplands National Park was established in 1997 in the area of Veszprém and Zala counties, from the northern line of Lake Balaton to the Rába plain, from the Marcal valley to the Tési plateau, in the area of about 57,000 ha from Mura to Kis-Balaton.
